Our commitment

Imports Auto Direct is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We design and build with accessibility in mind and aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

Accessibility features built into this site

  • Semantic HTML — proper use of headings, landmarks, lists, and other elements so screen readers can navigate meaningfully
  • Skip-to-content link — keyboard users can skip the navigation and jump straight to the main content
  • Visible focus indicators — every interactive element shows a clear focus ring when navigated with a keyboard
  • Sufficient color contrast — text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratios against their backgrounds
  • Alt text for images — every meaningful image has descriptive alt text; decorative images are marked as such
  • Responsive design — the site reflows at every viewport from 320px up; no horizontal scrolling on mobile
  • Touch targets — buttons and links are sized to be easy to tap on touch screens (44×44 minimum)
  • Reduced-motion support — users who have set prefers-reduced-motion in their operating system see fewer animations
  • Keyboard accessible — every interactive element is reachable and operable via keyboard alone (no keyboard traps)
  • Form labels — every form input has an associated label
  • Error identification — form errors are announced to assistive technology
  • Resize text — text remains readable at 200% zoom without breaking the layout

Known limitations

We strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance but acknowledge a few areas where we are still improving:

  • Embedded Instagram reels — Instagram controls its own accessibility for embedded reels. Captions may not always be present. We add captions where we have control over the content (the testimonials on this site include text overlays)
  • Hero video — the auto-playing hero video has no audio (muted by default) and a still-image fallback. Captions are not currently overlaid but the visual content is fully described in alt text on the fallback image
  • Some older browser combinations — Internet Explorer and very old mobile browsers may render certain CSS effects (backdrop blur, grid auto-fit) inconsistently. We test in current Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge
  • Third-party content — Google Maps and Instagram embed code is controlled by those services. We cannot guarantee their accessibility conformance

We are actively working to reduce these limitations. If you encounter a barrier, please tell us — see the contact section below.
